Antonio is a partner at Fenech & Fenech Advocates, where he leads the TMT and IP Law Departments. His primary areas of expertise include technology, media, and telecommunications; intellectual property; gaming; arts and culture; and litigation.
Throughout his career, Antonio has exclusively focused on ICT law, striving to address the ongoing challenges at the intersection of law and technology, both within and outside the courtroom.
His main practice areas encompass legal matters related to information technology, e-commerce, internet security, electronic signatures, electronic identity, outsourcing, telecommunications, data protection, software, intellectual property, gaming law, and cybercrime.
He teaches ICT Law and Cyber Crime at the University of Malta and formerly served as Chairman of the Malta Communications Authority, following a five-year tenure as a member of its Board of Directors. He is also a founding member and current President of the Malta Information Technology Law Association (MITLA).
Antonio frequently speaks on ICT law topics at both local and international conferences and writes a regular column on ICT law issues for the Sunday Times of Malta, along with maintaining a personal blog on the subject. He is consistently recommended by clients and peers in professional directories, including Chambers Global/Europe and Legal 500.
