Ruth has been filling the role of assistant Head at Mater Boni Consilii St. Joseph School Paola since 2015. She has also been fulfilling the role of DSO since 2019. She holds an MSc in Educational Leadership (University of Leicester) and a B.Ed (Hons.) in German and EMY (University of Malta).
She coordinated and led various school-based projects like Comenius and Echo School Programme as well as involved actively in proposals and reporting for such projects. Eko-Skola link teacher from 2010 -2015.
Ruth also worked with schools abroad through E-Twinning projects and Comenius as well as Erasmus+ projects. She coordinated school wide Erasmus funded projects MELT – (Managing Emotions Through Teaching and Learning) and coordinated a Virtual Mobility to Malta and is currently coordinating Story changers (Erasmus Funded project). She also lead and tutored a group of foreign teachers in the CLIL method of teaching in April 2019 for an Erasmus Funded project.
Ruth accompanied and lead a group of Maltese teachers on a Study Tour in Tampere Finland about Finnish Pedagogy in Practice.
She contributed to the book “Inside/Outside Schools” by Ronald G. Sultana Peg Publications, 1997 and to the paper entitled “Examination and Stress: Childhood and Education Subverted”.
