Sylvana, who earned a Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Malta, has enjoyed a distinguished seventeen-year career in the financial sector, seven of which were in banking, where she gained substantial experience. She led the Legal Department at FCM Bank Ltd. and also worked in the Litigation Department of HSBC Bank Malta plc. She has held roles with various company services providers, managing their corporate departments. At FCM Bank Ltd., she also served as company secretary, was a member of the executive committee, and advised the bank’s credit committee. In June 2020, she joined the Mandaris Group of Companies, where she held the position of Managing Director for all companies within the Group.
Since November 2023, Sylvana has been acting as a legal consultant for various corporate entities, advising them on corporate matters such as restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, debt recovery, and regulatory compliance.
She is highly proficient in legal compliance, compliance management, negotiation, legal writing, and public speaking. She is particularly passionate about leveraging her legal and financial expertise to find optimal solutions when structuring businesses.
