Mary started her career in the field of human resources management. As part of her duties, she had to carry out work related to occupational health and safety and welfare of employees. This topic piqued her interest, prompting her to pursue a Diploma in Social Studies (Occupational Health and Safety), from which she graduated in 2006. Since occupational health and safety is based on laws, Mary furthered her studies in this field. She graduated with a Doctor of Laws in 2017 and specialises in Occupational Health and Safety matters. During her 18-year experience in the field of occupational health and safety, she has worked in various sectors both as a safety practitioner, consultant, and legal advisor.
