Websites have become a norm and with so many resources, being professionally designed website or a DIY, most forget the legal implications a website brings around.

Legislation and rules governing copyright, data privacy, accessibility, e-commerce and e-privacy might not be at the forefront when planning and designing a website. This is a mistake. Nowadays websites have become a showcase of the owners’/companies’ compliance with any or all the legislation that have direct or indirect implications on websites.

During this 3-hour workshop, delivered by lawyers and non-lawyers, attendees will understand better the implications of different legislation on website design and planning. This will be done through explanation of the different legislation clauses as well as case law, both local and foreign.

The following is a non exhaustive list of the topics that will be covered during the workshop;

  • Cookies
  • Terms and Conditions
  • Data protection and Privacy Notice
  • Secure Socket Layer
  • Copyright
  • Images
  • Chats and Comments
  • e-commerce
  • Disability Accessibility

Who should attend?

This workshop is intended for website designers as well as those responsible for their own or their company’s website.
