The Problems

Times of Malta reported today that the 5 new COVID-19 cases reported in Malta in the last 24 hours are part of a known cluster of 13 cases. The newspaper also said that according to health sources, the cases involve a group of construction workers.

It just takes 1 positive employee at the place of work to contaminate the others. This can happen more in those place of work where precautions are not being taken and employees are not trained how to take such precautions.

In another article Lovin Malta reports that “As Workers Return To The Office, Tensions Rise Between Maltese Employers And Employees”. In most cases this could be happening because the employees are not informed of the measures which have been taken by the company towards infection prevention. Such information should be given through a Back to Work policy which not only includes the measures taken by the company but also puts responsibility on employees if they do not adhere to the measures.

The Solutions

Advisory 21 and 21 Law have foreseen these issues and have come up with solutions to the problems mentioned above.

Train Your Employees, online and at their own time, on how to control infection prevention at the place of work. More information about this training is available from this link. This training has been in high demand since we launched.

This policy is what has been keeping us very busy in the last days as we drafted tailor made policies according to the different business’ needs.
