Nicola’s main practice areas are capital markets, finance, banking, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate and commercial law. Nicola regularly advises clients on both local and cross-border M&A transactions, public mergers and takeovers, local and international corporate restructurings, corporate re-domiciliations and equity and debt capital financing projects. Nicola has experience in advising clients seeking admission to listing and trading on the Malta Stock Exchange, as well as advising such corporate clients on an ongoing basis with respect to compliance and corporate governance issues.
Nicola joined Camilleri Preziosi as an Associate in February 2017, having previously worked in the corporate practice of Herbert Smith Freehills LLP in London. Corporate law is Nicola’s main area of specialisation; she read for a Master of Corporate Law (MCL) degree at the University of Cambridge and also successfully defended her doctoral thesis at the University of Malta which was based on the Maltese courts’ interpretation of the company recovery procedure. Nicola is a dual-qualified corporate lawyer, admitted to practice as an advocate of the Superior Courts of Malta and as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales.
