Course Objective
This Masters in Human Resources Management programme covers the key areas of the subject from a theoretical aspect while grounding it to the realities of today’s world of work.
HRM is one of the key contributors within organisations, similar to other functions such as finance and information technology in view of the critical role that people play. Therefore, professional HRM is critical. Given that today’s organisations operate within a constantly evolving competitive environment owing to changing economic, financial, demographic, and political landscapes, this course will help students acquire critical and comprehensive knowledge and insights.
In addition, students will develop critical HRM competences and adopt a multidisciplinary approach in areas related to talent acquisition, reward, people development, leadership, and engagement. Employee relations and wellbeing will be a critical aspect which in which students will acquire competence together with their specialised ability to contribute to an organisation’s performance management system as well as, coaching and mentoring. The research aspect covered in the course will be crucial for students as it will enable them to critically analyse data and information in their decision-making situations and recommendations.
In the final analysis, students will be able to adopt a multi-disciplinary, objective, strategic and tactical mindset to serve as valid and key contributors to their respective organisations from a HRM perspective.
